Styled- the leather motorcycle jacket.

Inspiration is always a part of my stream of consciousness and sometimes my inspiration comes from reality television.  To be more precise from a set of very famous reality sisters.  Yes, I am talking about the Kardashian lovelies!  I certainly don’t think that they have made the soundest of choices regarding serious life decisions but I am certainly inspired by some of their sartorial choices.  They especially rock leather pants and leather-look leggings like there is no tomorrow.  I decided to try a pair of leather-look leggings and luckily I can still breathe with a stunning regularity whilst wearing them.  I paired the leggings with leather boots, a fluffy tribal print sweater, a leather motorcycle jacket, and my favorite of clutches- a Michael Kors studded clutch.  Since this week I was particularly inspired by the leather motorcycle jacket I decided to take the matter quite seriously as you can see.  I’m also wearing a statement piece- a studded silver bib necklace which one its own is quite stunning as well.  For this look it pulls everything together quite well.

Distilled Self- the leather motorcycle jacket.

distilled self

What is a distilled self?  A self which has been perfectly distilled down to the most important elements.  Style makes a statement and if it is in alignment with your inner self it will look and feel right.  Self is not a static concept but ever changing.  Invent yourself.  And then reinvent yourself.  There are no boundaries in expression.

Create and transcend.

This past month has been quite eventful- I have had some incredible travels and in addition to temporarily having moved to Europe.  The most exciting news of 2013, of course, was receiving my Master’s degree!
This past year my intensive focus was really about health and fitness and I was able to achieve several goals which has truly been amazing.  I was finally able to really pursue my passion for martial arts and being able to train intensively was a dream come true.  As a result, of course, I was a sweaty mess nearly every single day and the brands I wore most often were UnderArmour and Nike.  I am ready to return to a more fashionable me as I still love fashion and understand that it is something that will always be a part of me.  Naturally, this means a return to the blogosphere!
Here’s to Stylish Enchantment in 2014!

The perfect yellow dress.

I used to dream about the perfect yellow dress.  When I found this dress hidden on a rack amongst several other summer dresses my breath nearly stopped.  Anyone with an intense love for fashion instinctively understands that moment of absolute perfection when you find a piece of clothing or accessory which matches what you see in your mind’s eye.  This dress will be in my wardrobe for years to come because not only is it lovely but it is also simple and I absolutely adore simplicity.  I kept my accessories simple and and chose an off-white studded handbag and nude sandals to complete the look.
